IRONY

I want to talk about a poem which takes my attention in my literature lesson. Its name is 'Ozymandias'. This poem was written in 1818. It s about a King who lived in Egypt. His name is Ozymandias.

The narrator met a traveller from antique land. He told the narrator what he saw. Traveller said 'there is a statue in my town. Two vast and trunkless legs of stone stand in the desert. The statue was Ozymandias' statue'.
There was a writting on this statue. The pedestal was about the King's speech that 'My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings. Look on my works (my work means what i do), you mighty, and despair!'
There was nothing but a wreck. Ozymandias was proud of his working but there was nothing now, only dust and sand. What a huge irony!!
